Applying Makeup with a
Makeup Mirror
|

|
Purchasing a makeup
mirror is the key to having flawless makeup. A lighted makeup
mirror is the perfect tool to help you apply your makeup.
Applying makeup without a lighted makeup mirror is difficult if
not impossible to apply delicate makeup. Magnification is an
important aspect of a makeup mirror. A mirror is at least 5x
magnification helps with tweezing facial hair and plucking
eyebrows. Find a comfortable spot to apply makeup. Determine
whether you will be sitting down or standing up to apply makeup.
A wall mount mirror is the perfect choice if you will be
standing as you can attach it at eye level for grooming and
applying makeup. A vanity or pedestal style makeup mirror is
made to sit on a table top or vanity where you can leisurely
apply makeup and groom yourself. Take your time and don't rush,
you need not apply a tremendous amount of makeup but enjoy your
time to yourself.
Brightness - Make sure you find a makeup mirror that
offers a bright light as dim makeup mirrors can be uncomfortable
to use. Look for Halo lighting (lighting that goes completely
around the mirror edge and LED light which offer bright lights.
Jerdon
HL8510NL,
HL8808NL, and
HL8505NL offer a lot of light and are brighter than
most competitor's makeup mirrors.
Different Light Simulations
- If you work in an office environment that uses fluorescent
lighting or outdoors natural light you might want to find a
makeup mirror that offers different light settings. Jerdon
JGL10W is a nice table top tri-fold mirror that
offers 4 different light settings and cool fluorescent lighting.
Magnification - For a
flawless finish and for tweezing facial hair, plucking eyebrows
or applying the perfect makeup choose a magnifying makeup
mirror. Many experts believe you should use a mirror with at
least 5X magnification, but the magnification also depends on
your eyesight. If you wear glasses and need to apply eye makeup
you would need to remove your eyeglasses and use a high level of
magnification up to 10X magnification.
